Austin CarShare Enrollment

Austin CarShare is now accepting applications for membership in our innovative carsharing service. Simpy apply and attend our new member orientation class and you'll be carsharing before you know it.

Individual Membership

Enrolling: $25 application fee and $300 security deposit

Household Membership
Multiple drivers under one account

Enrolling: $25 application fee per person and $250 security deposit per person

When you apply, we will run a driving record check and ask you to attend one of our orientation classes. Membership fees will only begin once you have attended an orientation class and been issued your electronic member key.

Driver Eligibility: Austin CarShare services will be available to members with a valid driver’s license who are 21 years old or older with at least two years driving experience and a clean driving record. A clean driving record is defined as no more than one moving violation or accident in the last 18 months, no more than 2 violations or accidents in the last 3 years, and no DWI/DUIs in the last seven years. Violations that were dismissed because you took a defensive driving course or were dismissed by a court will not count against your Austin CarShare application.

Sustaining Members Benefits

You can help us grow and serve the Austin community by making a tax-deductible donation to Austin CarShare. Simply choose to make a donation while enrolling or donate without enrolling, it's your choice.

When you convert your deposit to a donation, we will recognize you as a sustaining member of Austin CarShare plus you'll receive a cool thank you gift.

- No monthly fee for the first two years of membership
