Through our partnership with the City of Austin, Austin CarShare vehicles are exempt from paying to park in City metered spaces.
NOTE: The 2 hour limit still applies. This exemption applies to City of Austin meters only. You must still pay to park at University of Texas and State of Texas (around the Capitol) managed metered spots.

San Francisco
As part of a partnership with City CarShare in San Francisco, Austin CarShare members can check out one of their over 150 cars while staying in San Francisco. You pay no deposit or application fee and pay only a $10/month member fee for months in which you have activity.

Car Rental from HERTZ
If you need a car for a day or longer, make a reservation with Hertz with our ACS member account and receive our business member discount or the lowest rate available, which ever is lower.
If you rent often or don't want the hassle of standing in line to get a car, you may also join the Hertz #1 Club Gold at no charge (normally $50). This program gives you express check-in with Hertz as well as no charge for adding a spouse or domestic partner on a reservation.
Hertz has over a dozen locations around Austin including downtown at 709 East 10th Street.

Take advantage of our partnership with AVIS for a flat $15 discount on all car rentals. Renting through AVIS is beneficial for longer trips that are less suitable for carsharing.
